Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how LenderReady collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use lenderready.ca and our Services. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed)
• Business plan information: business name, industry, financial projections, business model details, and other content you enter into our tools
• Payment information: processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
• Loan review submissions: documents and information you upload, including loan applications, business plans, and decline letters
• Communications: emails or messages you send to us
• Document requests: if you ask us to email you a document such as the post-decline script, we store the address you gave so we can send it and so we know the page is being used. We send that document once, and no sequence follows.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies for authentication and analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Services
• To generate business plans, financial projections, and Loan Reviews you request
• To process payments and send transactional emails (receipts, account notifications)
• To respond to questions and inquiries
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help operate the Services, including Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Netlify (hosting), and Anthropic (AI processing for plan generation and review analysis)
• Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law
• In connection with a business transfer, such as a sale or merger of LenderReady

We never share your business plan content, loan application documents, or review submissions with any bank, lender, or third party outside of the service providers listed above.

4. Data Retention

Documents and intake answers you provide for a File Diagnostic or other reviewed service are kept for 180 days after the order, then deleted, or deleted sooner on request. Order records (email, amount, dates, status) are kept as accounting records. We retain your account information and business plan content for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@lenderready.ca. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

5. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and an address that opts out is recorded and checked before any further send. Messages about something you have paid for or applied to will still reach you.
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Tags

Essential: cookies and browser storage needed for sign-in, checkout and the order pages. These are always on.

First-party analytics: we record which steps of the site are used (for example that a readiness check was started or completed, the industry and financing purpose chosen from a list, and the page you arrived on) against a random identifier stored in your browser. This uses no cookie, is not shared with anyone, and never includes financial figures, document names, free text or your identity.

Advertising tags (Google Ads, Meta Pixel): these load only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie notice. They record page views so we can measure advertising. Choosing "Essential only" loads neither. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.

8. Children

The Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Canada (notably in the United States). By using the Services, you consent to your information being processed in those jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than Canada.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
